MontemAra is a memorial preserve taking shape in Colorado’s San Luis Valley—a place for grief, memory, and justice to remain.

We are creating a lasting place to honor people harmed by failures in death care and to remember the families who have fought for dignity and answers. The preserve is planned to include a central Colorado Remembers memorial, spaces for individual people and cases, and the Marley Memorial. As the project grows, we hope MontemAra can also provide a respectful resting place for unclaimed cremated remains. This is a place to preserve names and stories, leave words for loved ones, and ensure that those affected are not forgotten.
