What Will it Look Like?

Cob & Adobe

Using the resources from the earth on which we stand, we are able to build strong homes and structures at extremely low cost. Soil samples from the area show that this location is perfect for building with cob and adobe bricks. This method allows us to build at a rate of $5 to $10 per square foot for a complete home and even less for basic structures.

Many of our prospective participants have expressed the desire to further their education. We will have three separate classrooms onsite, allowing for residents to complete their GEDs, certificate programs, and college courses.

In addition to classrooms, a separate library is planned. To donate books and classroom supplies, please click below.

& Dining

The recreational and dining hall will include restaurant-style meals as well as rec area, fireplace and communal congregation area. Just outside the hall will be vegetable and herb gardens as well as an outdoor recreation area.

The basic tenet of MontemAra is to remember the sacrifice given by those who have served their country, whether through military or civilian service. Those who have gone before us are honored here in our memorial garden, named for the founder's father, Alan Albertus, who pledged to each of us his Life, his Fortune, and his Sacred Honor.
