MontemAra is home to a 15-acre adobe village for people in crisis, with priority service for honorably discharged veterans, and civilians who demonstrate motivations towards finding their passion and purpose.

Twenty-two Veterans and more than 120 civilians commit suicide every day in the U.S.. Montemara seeks to help reduce that number to ZERO by assisting our partners and clients in a way that allows them to be fully-functioning in a community designed with their needs in mind. We also provide the same services for veterans and civilians, with a program focus on helping those in crisis to find their passion and purpose.

What is

MontemAra is a 15 acre plot in Costilla County, just 6 miles east of the Rio Grande and 10 miles north of the New Mexico line. It is barren, desolate and arid. There is currently no water or electricity, and nothing but prarie grasses and brush grow.

MontemAra WILL be an adobe villagette for homeless heros. Priority service will be given to honorably discharged veterans and civilians who have served their communities through selfless acts and proactive causes.

The road to MontemAra is uphill and trying. But the rewards are immeasureable. With your support, we will house 108 people. We will impact lives and change futures.
